Join us for the 2026 ALBUG Fall Conference, taking place November 11–13, 2026, at the Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa in Florence, Alabama.

This annual three-day event brings together higher education professionals from across the state to explore the latest developments in Ellucian Banner, share best practices, and strengthen collaboration across functional areas—including IT, Finance, Financial Aid, Human Resources, and Student Services.

Presenter Discounts

ALBUG appreciates the valuable content shared by our presenters. As a thank you for contributing to the conference program, the following discounts are available:

  • Lead Presenter – Main Conference Session: Receive a $185 discount on the main conference registration fee. This reduces the Early Bird member rate to $200.
  • Lead Presenter – Pre-Conference Workshop: The pre-conference workshop fee will be waived.
  • Stackable Discounts: Presenters who are the lead presenter for both a pre-conference workshop and a main conference session will receive both discounts.

Presenters will be notified of session acceptance by July 31, 2026 and will receive a separate registration link to claim their presenter discount.

Your main conference registration gives you access to a full schedule of learning, networking, and collaboration with colleagues from across Alabama.

The main conference fee includes:

  • Main conference breakout sessions (Thursday and Friday)
  • General sessions
  • Wednesday Evening Welcome Reception
  • Breakfast on Thursday and Friday
  • Lunch on Thursday
  • Snack breaks on both Thursday and Friday

We’ve got a full schedule—and plenty of food—lined up. You won’t go hungry!

Pre-Conference Day (Wednesday)

The ALBUG pre-conference day has grown significantly over the years. What originally began as a small technical “code camp” has evolved into a series of hands-on workshops designed for deeper learning and collaboration.

In 2026, we are expanding the pre-conference experience with multiple longer-form workshops that allow presenters and attendees to explore topics in greater depth than a traditional one-hour session.

The pre-conference day is available for an additional $100 per person, which includes:

  • Wednesday breakfast
  • Wednesday lunch
  • Wednesday afternoon snack break
  • Access to all pre-conference workshops

Our leadership team and track chairs are currently developing the workshop lineup. While the agenda is not yet finalized, we anticipate offering several sessions designed for deeper engagement, including workshops lasting two, four, six, or eight hours. These sessions will allow time for expanded demonstrations, hands-on learning, and small group discussion.

The full pre-conference schedule will be announced later this summer.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be requested by sending an email to [email protected] by October 23, 2026. A $50 cancellation fee will be charged. No refunds will be processed after October 23, 2026. By choosing pay by check or the invoice option, you are still responsible for the total cost of registration if you do not cancel by the deadline. Conference expenses are based on the number of registrants. Please confirm permission and availability to travel prior to registering.

Hotel Room Block Guidelines

A limited number of hotel rooms are available in the ALBUG room block. To ensure fair access for all attendees:

  • Please only reserve a room in the ALBUG block if you plan to attend the conference.
  • If your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, promptly cancel your hotel reservation so the room can be made available to others.
  • Hotel reservations in the ALBUG room block may be canceled if the guest is not registered for the conference by Friday, October 16th.
  • Last day to reserve a room in the ALBUG room block is Monday, October 26th.

*All rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes, currently 11% and a lodging fee, currently 4%.

Membership Dues

Institutional membership dues should be paid at the time of conference registration and are in addition to the conference fee.  Membership dues are valid for one year.  Visit our membership page for more information.
