You, Me, We: Building a Successful Team – Presented by Laurel Long of The University of Alabama in Huntsville
(Full Day) The purpose of this session is to help participants understand that strong teams are successful when they see differences as strengths instead of weaknesses. Although much emphasis is placed on the ways in which we are different, this session will focus on how those differences can actually help to develop strong teams and ensure positive outcomes both personally and professionally. Participants will explore three key areas: personality types, generational differences, and communication styles. Participants will understand how differences in these areas affect work teams and work performance. They will also be able to assess their individual personality types and communication styles. This will be in interactive session where participant discussion and involvement is encouraged.
